gamehead200 Posted January 24, 2003 Posted January 24, 2003 After installing SP1, I keep getting a message that say that something prevented Windows from checking the product key, and now it logs me off. I have an official version of Windows XP and everything worked fine until now. How can I do a system restore without logging into Windows???
XPerties Posted January 25, 2003 Posted January 25, 2003 boot with the disk in the drive and load windows like your going to do a freash install, but choose repair when you get to the main menu.
gamehead200 Posted January 25, 2003 Author Posted January 25, 2003 Forget it! I finally booted up into safe mode ! I clicked on the 'No' button, and it let me restore my computer ! The only problem is that it took a hell of a long time, 10-15 minutes just to boot into safe mode !Why did it keep coming up with the error?
