hiksta Posted July 8, 2005 Posted July 8, 2005 Hi, I have a windows 2003 server with two hard disks, one of which is full and one that isnt, i would like to designate space from the E drive to the C drive if thats possible and just wondered how to do it. If i convert the disk to dynamic will i lose all the current data?
chilifrei64 Posted July 9, 2005 Posted July 9, 2005 Yeah.. you can do it... I wouldnt though..... If this is for business use.. then you should have RAID and then you should just increase the size. If this is home and you dont have raid then yeah you could try it... one problems though... once you convert your c drive to dynamic and add space from another disk.. if something goes wrong.... buh bye everything. If I were you and this was an emergency I would just redirect your pagefile to the e:\drive, clear any temp files and set all log file paths to the e:\ drive then go out and get another bigger drive and Ghost it onto it.... does anybody know if Ghost works with 2k3, I havent tried it
