Anyone seen ON/OFF indicators in options?

Just did another install of XP [sP2 slipstreamed] and now [once seen a long time ago; had forgotten this] I see strange indicators in the options such as the View Folder Options:

Display the full path in the Address Bar-ON

The "-ON" or "-OFF" is redundant to the checkbox setting as you come into the options box, and changes if you make changes, but only after you close and reopen the options box, etc.

Is there some sort of registry debug setting in place for this?

if you're using registry tweaks or shell extensions might be easier if you attached a .txt or .zip with all of the registry tweaks you're applying and just list any shell extensions you're using.

I've never heard of that but i don't think it would be too hard for somebody to write as a shell extension.
