I am helping a friend to do his unattended install of Office 2003.

I follow the guide step by step and everything goes ok.

If I click on setuppro.exe it starts a normal install.

But when I run this line

setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb-

it gives this message with this title:

Title - Windows XP Configuration

Message - Go to control panel to install and configurate system components

(The OS is in portuguese so this is a translation)

I found out that I have the same message if I click directly on "setup.exe" located on "\Windows\System32"

What is happening?

Can someone help?

You are calling the wrong setup.exe. You need to point to the Office setup.exe.

Try using the full path.

Since unattended installs default to the system32 directory, it is attempting to run whichever setup.exe it finds in there.
