Folder Permissions - Desparate!

I have been trying to install and run an applicaiton I created, on XP HOME Edition SP1. This application creates an ini file when the user enters login information so that they do not need to type it in each time they run the app. This ini file is created in c:\Program File\MyProgFolder\setting.ini

The problem is that Windows gives and Access Denied Error as soon as the application tries to create the file. The folder is Read only and I cannot seem to unset this. I have tried the Safe Mode booting method explained on several sites but not getting anywhere.

I am logged in as Administrator and therefore have full rights.

My Disk is FAT32 partition.

Can someone please tell me how to remove this access denied and let the applicaiton write to the folder?

Desparetely need solution.

Thanks

Raj

I'm just thinking here with you, not sure if this is the solution you're looking for, but...

- I don't think you can set rights with FAT32, you will need NTFS. And...

- Only Windows XP Professional supports file-level access control, mostly because this feature is typically implemented through Group Policy Objects, which are also not available in Home Edition.

Cheerio!
