problem downloading big files

hello

the problem is with a friend, of lebanon, pentium 3, enough of space disk, using windows xp..

the problem is that windows or anything refuses to download files bigger than 49 mb

no one seems to have been able to solve her issue..

if someone know how to solve this, it would be cool; i'll add screenshots later

does the file just stop downloading? or does it quit out likes its done downloading.. but not done downloading.. (if that made any sence)

what browser is your friend using to download? and is your friend using any Download Managers/Accelerators?

and paste into flashget

and try to see what happens
