Jean Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 Hello,I assembled a computer, based on the new ASUS F4G8X Deluxe motherboard.Installed Windows XP Professional English disk.Everything works perfectly fine, except...Windows XP Pro do not recognize the USB 2.0 connectors, so, I need to load several drives to make it working.I respected the sequences, (3 drives as adviced). when done, the system "find new hardware" BUT...After reboot, the mouse is dead and the OS must be re-installed !Any upgrade to avoid this problem ?Thanks in advance,Jean
Tinker Posted January 15, 2003 Posted January 15, 2003 When you say you must reinstall the OS do you mean reinstall XP?
Jean Posted January 15, 2003 Author Posted January 15, 2003 YES Tinker !This is what they say:If you do not follow the above sequence, you may need to do a new Windows XP installation to fix potential USB 2.0 problem in the future.I followed the sequence as indicated and after reboot, USB Keyboard/mouse stopped working.Regards,Jean
