Cetla Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 is there a way to set an alternate shell from install?I wanted to make an UA cd and have it use an alternate shell instead of explorer.exe, so right from the get-go it starts with a differnt shell from first logon.would I need to add a reg tweak? or is there anotherway?
benners Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Try changing the explorer.exe text to reflect your shell[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]"Shell"="Explorer.exe"
Aegis Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Or you can rename the alternate shell to explorer.exe and make it a cab, then move it over to your UA CD.
