Windows Mobile 2003 shell32 hack?

Has anyone looked into hacking shell32.exe (the WM2003 shell) to disable or make the separator lines on the Today Screen transparent??? I have not been able to move shell32 anywhere to look at it. I'm not sure if it's because the .exe is in use or something else. Copies to a memory card fail with no warning and the file cannot be seen from XP file explorer. I'm sure I could do a ROM dump, but I have no clue where to go with that... If anyone has ideas, please post them.

If you do a search you can get some freeware that changes the appearance of your pda and can skin it, cant remember what its called but a search on google should find it.
