wizardofwindows Posted June 19, 2005 Share Posted June 19, 2005 I cant believe how many people are using 98se just alone over 7 of my friends a few aunts etc etc .its a tribute to the shear speed and recent stabitity and perforance thanks to gapes mdgx etc .now dont get me wrong i use xp everyday in classic mode no fisherprice for this dos cowboy but the ease of use and simplicity cant be equal gotta luv the classics. Most who use XP do so because it came with a new computer, not because they actually need the features in it.I recommend 98 SE to anyone who wants to avoid the bloat, activation hassles, security risks, and cost of XP. Unfortunately I also need to also use Linux to exploit my 64-bit processor fully. Unlike XP 64, 64-bit Linux has been around for a long time. I'm going to stay away from XP 64 as it seems like an afterthought and I've heard there are a lot of problems. It's another example of MS copying and not innovating.
