you have to leave it running until the torrent is finished downloading,, thats the only way to get the maximum speed and connect to seeds faster

after the torrent is finished you can cut it off. but make sure its turned on and running before you start each torrent,, or it wont do its job,

if you start the torrent first then run the bt engine,, it will run but it wont have any effect,, it has to be running before the torrent is started up until its completed

Lost Soul, I'm not sure if that is the correct reg entry. Like I said, I don't have a valid serial to test it out.

Anyways, I will give BTEngine another chance. Will I get the same result with the trial? Or does it only work when registered?

I also heard that it is not good to keep it running when you have other softwares active, such as browsers and IM's.

its the right key,, i went into my reg and copyied down

the key

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\soft4kids\btengine]

and then tested it out in my unattended script and it worked like a champ..

i was a bit thrown off at the soft4kids part,, thats why it threw me off for so long and i never placed it right..

but thanks,, you pointed me in the right direction

for any body trying to register this product just copy that reg key after youve installed it and it will work great

im not really sure about using it unregged,, so i really couldnt answer that question for you on any differences

but as for the second part.. it works just fine with browsers and IM's active.. like all bittorrent's they suck down system resources,, it will slow you down to a certain level,, but it really does speed things up.

ive had bt engine running,, 3 torrents,, 5 tabs open in firefox and playing games with a friend in msn messenger and carry on a conversation in skype all at the same time,,, and i was able to still carry on with every thing just fine,, but i wont lie some times it is hard..

but like i said using bt engine may slow your system down,, but it speeds things up a good deal and for me its better to get the dl done and over as soon as possible..
