rjz Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 I would reset the cmos/battery jumper caps./ I would also take out the battery. Did this happen after a bios flash? Can you get into the bios 1st?
Seanie's Show Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 I had the smae problem with my 1st Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI board, this board carries 2 bios chips, 1 main and 1 back-up, everytime I re-started the computer, or did a cold boot, I would get the same error message, "bios checksum error" and would load from the back-up bios, I returned the board to where I brought it from as there was no current updates for the bios, so it had'nt been flashed, it had the most recent bios installed when I got it. and they reported a faulty bios chip, and replaced the board. If you cannot resolve this problem and have a removable bios chip, then you can go direct to your manufacture of the board a buy a replacement bios chip, or return the board to your supplier if it is still under warrantee.
