Screensaver Password

is there anyway to put password protection on your screensavers without the use of a third party program or did M$ disable it....

Yes, you can password-protect your screensaver. To do this, your login account must have a password set as well.

Only way to have a password on a screensaver is to have a login password protected. Ive heard this from several others, not 100% but its worth a try.

i have login password protected...but when i log in the only option is "on resume, display welcome screen" they have them password protected at compUSA so there has to be a way....maybe if i log in as admin....

Yes, this displays the Welcome Screen and from there you have to type in your password to log in again.

However, if you are talking about the way you used to Log In/Lock your system in Win 2K, then go to User Accounts/Change the way users log on/off and disable the welcome screen........

thanks...i had one of those Oh Duh moments....the comps i was lookin at had the win2k login screens set up....thanks for the help

if you have fast user switching enabled it will go to login screen at the end of the screen saver, if it is disabled, it will lock you computer at end of screen saver.
