albator Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 (edited) Ok here my problem of of my friend have a new laptop with a large screen. When installing xp the resolution in use are 800x600,1024x768. THose are resolution for normal screen (4:3) not the 14:9 format. To correct it this is linked to gpu drivers or should I try to put the monitor profiles for the laptop. In this case how can I identify it ? The laptop is a emachine m6811.http://www.emachines.com/support/product_s...ies&model=M6811Please help to look like a reel geek with that girl Edited June 11, 2005 by albator
D.Celt Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 XP doesn't recognise the 14:9 resolutions and has reverted to the default. Installing the correct gpu drivers should allow you to select higher resolutions.
albator Posted June 11, 2005 Author Posted June 11, 2005 thank for the input. I had install radeon catalyst instead of radeon mobility catalyst...
