adekeys Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 i have to choose between a dynamic and a static ip address, which should i have, based on run a lan behind a router/ spi firewall
darkfiber1010 Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 If you arn't being charged too much extra for the static, go with static. It will make your life easier down the road if you want to set up things like remote desktop access, VPNs, FTP servers etc.
adekeys Posted June 6, 2005 Author Posted June 6, 2005 but am i able to keep it secure with my router/spi firewall?
Martin Zugec Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 Are you talking about IP of your PC, or IP of your router?
