Hey guys I was hoping someone could help me out. I just did a fresh install of Windows Media Center Edition 2005 with all the updates and KRAM Drivers and when I finished it looked great until this morning when I was trying to play some music. I have attached a picture of my tasks running; it appears that WMP is using 95-100% of my CPU while playing MP3s. Could this be a result of wrong drivers installed or wrong codecs? Sorry I am a bit new at this stuff so I have no clue what is going on. Thanks guys.

Can anyone help? I just reformatted with normal Windows XP and it does the same thing. These are my specs.

AMD Athlon 2500+

1g Ram

200g SATA

DFI KM-400

ATI 9000 All in Wonder

I am using the built in sound off the MB, it never was a problem before but I guess doesn't work well now.

Make sure you are using the latest version of media player 10 and not a beta.

download the very latest drivers for ALL your hardware.
