tjdmobile Posted January 3, 2003 Posted January 3, 2003 I have 2 machines on a tiny network at home. Both running XP. I have scheduled tasks which run, as I use the server for the purpose of video capture. Unfortunately, the "Reboot" task I have will only run if a logon and password are entered. I create the logon and password to make this work, and it does like a charm. Problem: When the reboot is complete, it waits at the welcome screen for the password. My capture will not start unless the machine is logged in. In Windows 2000 Pro I was able to select an auto-logon (Administrator). I can't find this ability in the User Manager within XP. Is this functionality present? Thanks in advance!TJD
Porn Loader Posted January 22, 2003 Posted January 22, 2003 depends on how many user accounts you have on the computer...if its only one user account, open up the control panel, click on user accounts, change account, remove password. that should work.
CaptBaritone Posted January 23, 2003 Posted January 23, 2003 If you have more users, this software can do it for you.http://www.totalidea.de/frameset-tweakxp.htm
