Best Anti-Spam/Spam Filter Program

(i hope im not making an already made topic, i searched and didnt find one)

so whats the best? im looking to add one into my UA ive been using Giant Co. Software's Spam Inspector and it works most of the time but sometimes it doesn't. any recomendations?

It almost doesnt matter - you only need spam filter, that is based on bayesian method (mathematical filter. I personally use Brightmail for corporate Exchange server and SpamBayes for personal need (www.sourceforge.net)

Have you looked at Thunderbird? It's Free/OpenSource and has a built in Bayesian spam filter that works very well among other things

I use Foxmail 5, the have Rule filter, Bayesian filter, white list and black list rules.

i think im gonna use thunderbird from now on and is there a silent installer out for it? (i think i saw one somewhere but not sure....)

The easiest way to install Thunderbird silently is by using the -ms switch.

There are other methods you can find on MSFN that probably involve editing inf files.

is there anyway to make thunderbird go to your inbox folder when you open it like outlook express does? (if there is a setting for that i cant find it :-/ )

hmm ive setup thunderbird on many machines and it always opens in the inbox by default. Have you setup an account in it yet? What does it open in instead?

yea i found a great way to customize your installation, extract the setup and open up config.ini at the top it says normal, auto or silent and u just enter that into the variable below
