Ive seen on some peoples desktop who have XP with SP 1 installed and it displays Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 (build....) in the corner of there desktop wallpaper just above there time display.

Is it actually a specific wallpaper and its just simple text or is there something else that needs to be changed for it to display?

How can i get it to display?

you'll need TweakUI from the XP Powertoys (google it) to enable the text on the desktop. "Show windows version on desktop" in General properties.
