I've just freshly installed Win2k server. (Reformat the server 3 times and still giving the same problem)

Configuration:-

- 1 network card connected to HUB (dns = server)

- 1 ADSL modem connected to HUB (dns = ISP)

I've shared the Internet connection on the server.

The server:-

- can surf the the internet (any URL)

- can ping any url

- can access ftp sites

The client problem:-

- can ping any url

- no problem opening hotmail.com

- very slow on www.msn.com

- cannot open other sites

- can access ftp sites

Try put your ISP DNS in your client computer network settings.

Tried but same problem

i have heard of this before using win2k server, and there is a fix for your problem, but for the life in me i cant remember.

i will try to find the solutution for you, i think its some service that is running when it shouldnt... or isnt when it should. i forget as i said.

ill post back if i find it.
