detailsview in asp.net 2

can anybody tell me how to access controls embedded in a detailsview control in asp.net 2? i want to manually set some of the datafields which are not amongst those databound within the detailsview control. please help!!

i was reading your post but i couldnt quite understand what you were asking... could you maybe be a little clearer?

do you want to add stuff, which isnt bound, to the detailsview?
