hammermtl
I made a foolish mistakeThe user account on my machine is set to power user and the administrator account is disabled. Now i can't install any software or basically do anything i'd want to do. i can't access "control userpasswords2" or use system restore to try and revert the settings. Is there any way for me to re-enable the administrator account? or to upgrade my power user to an administrator?ThanksJosh
tarquel
I know this sounds ridiculous but have you tried going into safe mode?I wouldn't have thought windows would let you disable the only account that has Administrator Access :Sbut then again... Worst case scenario - you'd have to use a 3rd party program to reset permissions/account - I *think* something like ERD Commander would do the trick or perhaps something like PEBuilder (search google for the latter - its free but i dont have the link)Regards,N.
