Nitroke Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Hi,I have an acer notebook but the dvd-drive doesn't work anymore, I would like to format the harddrive and reinstall windows. Anybody have an idea how I should do that?I know that there is a boot function for the networkport. But If I share the dvd-drive with the windows cd inside on the network it doens't find it.Any help would be greatly appriciated,Nitroke
Martin Zugec Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Well... You could create network installation, if you have desktop available...
Takeshi Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 You would use RIS on a server, first copy the distribution folder (i386) on the server, then connect using PXE CDROM boot.Or, remove the HD and install on another PC, run winnt32 with syspart. Replace the HD in the LT to continue setup.
