vql Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 I want to replace picture Monitor of System Properties (press key Win+Pause to view it, it is above and not OEM logo). I use Reshack to extract this picture Monitor in a file sysdm.cpl and save with a name is monitor.bmp and view it by Ifanview. I note background color of monitor.bmp is white but when view it in System Properties, background color is the same the taskpanel color (I use a theme with taskpanel color is black ,so background color of Monitor is same black (not white)). I modify sysdm.cpl by replace picture Monitor with my picture created (have background color is white) and use modified sysdm.cpl replace orginal sysdm.cpl of Windows. But when I view it in System Properties, background color (of the picture I created) is still white, it hasn't color like color of my theme. Why? How to create BMP in this case?
