Marke522 Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 Hi, and thanks for reading.I have an older Sound Blaster Live, I think it was actually a Platinum, because it has the Audio Extension ( Digital I/O ) connector for an I/O card or Drive Bay. I have 8 wires from the front a tower that I would like to connect to this card if possible. I have googled around for a bit and havn't been able to find any documents that lable the pins, but I have a diagram of the card so you'll know excatly what I'm talking about. The wires from the tower have little pins that read:Return RSpkout RGroundMic-InReturn LSpkout LGroundMic BIASI've seen a diagram a few years back, but I didn't have this card until last month. Thanks, MarkSound_Card.bmp
Marke522 Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 which may tell u which pin is whichThat's not the problem, the pins are labled, I simply don't know where they would go if I wanted to connect them to this sound card. The pins on the sound card are made for the Creative Drive and I was hoping someone here might know which numbers could be used if I didn't have the Drive I/R, but it's looking like I'll have to settle for using the back ports for Mic and Line In.
Marke522 Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 The wires from the tower have little pins that read:Return RSpkout RGroundMic-InReturn LSpkout LGroundMic BIASI can't remember the make or model of the case, it's a custom build that I had done over a year ago, and giving it to my daughter now that I have upgraded.
tarquel Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Really sorry - I misread the first post (on account of me being half-asleep).You've not found anyway of identifying the pins on the soundcard then?I'll see if i can find anything for you EDIT:Have you had a look here: http://uk.europe.creative.com/support/down...sp?type=manuals there might be some manual that gives you pin assignments for the header I know its a UK link but you can click the change the county link at the top right.Sorry again and regards,N.
OrcoXP Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I used to have the pin-out for these but the pin were propietary and could not be connected to any case. Please post if you figure this out...thanks
