sysprepping sourcepath question......

I'm not sure this is the right forum for this post, but feel free to move it or redirect me into the right one. I have never got the "reset sourcepath" line of the sysprep.inf file to work properly.

[unattended]

InstallFilesPath=C:\i386

ResetSourcePath=C:\i386

It would make my source path C:\i386\i386

when I try ResetSourcepath=C:\ I still have trouble.

Ive gone into the registry after sysprep finishes and and made sure sourcepath=C:\i386 and have also checked a place that says "InstallationSources=C:\i386" without quotes of course, but when the sysprepped image is restored to another PC, it always finds new hardware and always refers to the original source usually d:\i386. Furthermore, I've searched the entire registry for "sourcepath=d:\i386" or "d:\i386" it never finds that registry entry.

Thanks for helping me figure this out. Also I need a little explanation with these lines in sysprep.inf...

[setupMgr]

DistFolder=C:\sysprep\i386

DistShare=windist

I've tried placing the I386 directory inside the sysprep directory and it deletes the directory when it deletes the sysprep directory. Right now to just would do a CD install for the original pre-sysprepped installation, but eventually, I'm going to do serverbased installs. Maybe that's where the "distshare=windist" comes in. So would someone please explain that line to me and tell we what I would tell distshare to default to if my server directory was Z:\i386 (for example). It will be in a RIS directory I'm sure when I get done.
