Hi, thanks for reading.

I've been using a FX 5200 PCI for awhile that I purchased while I was waiting for this AIW to arrive in the mail (it was out of stock and took 2 months, so I found a FX 5200 new for $30 at Office Depot to use during the wait.) During that wait I decided to hook up two monitors to the dual VGA. I just got the 9800 Pro All In Wonder AGP last weekend, and I'm trying to figure out a way to have two monitors with this card.

I know that XP can run 2 video cards, if they will work with each other. If I use both cards, and tell the motherboard to use PCI for primary video, both cards work, and have a great picture, but I want to use the AIW as my primary video card, because it kicks the snot out of the other card any day of the week, and twice on sunday.

BUT - If I tell the motherboard to use AGP as primary video, then the other card won't work at all. It's in the Device Manager, and it says it's working, but I can't seem to get a pciture at all. If I turn on the other monitor, it says "Input signal out of range". This is on a TFT Monitor that was working just fine 3 minutes ago.

Should I not use the FX 5200 and try to find a way to have two monitors on the AIW? It has a DVI, S-Video and a HDTV on the back. Anyway to find a S-Video to VGA convertor?

If I had known that I would love using 2 displays so much, I simply would have purchased a normal 9800 PRO and a tv tuner.

Here's my two cards.

Computer is the one in the signature.

Thanks, Mark.

OH MY GOD, DUDE IT WORKS!!!

I uninstalled the FX 5200, restarted, then installed in again, and it found the monitor, but it was monitor 3. There was a Default on 9800 Pro Secondary, so I uninstalled that, whatever it was, and restarted again, and now it's 2.

Woot Woot!!!!

I still have the Default on 9800 Pro Secondary, but now that monitor is 3. Not sure what it's for, maybe it's a space reserved for HDTV or S-Video.

Thanks, Mark

Certainly is :)

(see my rig)

Used it to play a few DVD's in the past, when the PS2 was playing up. S-Video > Scart lead and used the soundcard's output to the 7.1 speaker system. Not bad at all :)

Just haven't bothered with the Remote Wonder remote controller - as I've got too many lol

Regards and glad it worked out for you.
