Featured Replies

hi everybody im new to the forums.

heres the set up of my router:

cable->modem->router-> computer1

router->ethernetcord->f2f connector->ethernetcord-> computer 2

for some reason i dont get any internet when i use this set up. when i plug the ethernet cord to computer 2 i get a signal but for some reason it wont work with the two cords connecting to each other using the f2f plug. on another note there is no light on the routher signalling that the connection is complete.

sorry if this is hard to comprehend

nick

Have you tried testing BOTH cables, and it may be your female 2 female plug... that may be the problem, have you tried another plug out?

i havent tried any other plugins, i bought this plug in a radioshak so it should be good, but then again it was only like 8$

if you tested both cables individually and they both work, then the coupler (female to female connector) can be the only culprit. It is definitely possible to have a misconnected pin or something like that in the coupler
