Mchart Posted May 2, 2005 Share Posted May 2, 2005 Well, basically when I created my install of windows XP I did not want the windows firewall junk to be installed with windows - BUT now that I have created a local network on my computer the service which does this is like combined with the firewall service, so I cant manually disable the firewall service, and I cant just disable the firewall using the firewall GUI in windows because I dont have it installed.So the question is - How can I install the windows firewall GUI now? Mchart Posted May 2, 2005 Author Share Posted May 2, 2005 Also note - When I try to go in with the command prompt and type in things like netsh firewall, to try to manually disable the firewall that way, it says it can't be found.
