Windows XP is stuck in welcome screen

Hi

i just had some problems with partition table, i fixed it than i had the ntldr error, fixed that too

But now when i boot, my PC is stuck in the blue welcome screen

even the names don't show up, there is only Windows XP Professional and the logo

What must i do?

Can you boot into Safe Mode?

If so, and you can get into it, you could try this (you most likely will need your windows xp cd also):

- choose [start] and [Run]

- type in:

sfc /scannow

and click ok.

This should check the system files and restore any that are corrupt.

This may not help at all, but its a start :)

nlite?

no for what should i used it?

i just used partition magic to change something in the partitions an he made the partition table again so that was solved, fot the ntldr i just used my XP cd and did fixboot and cope ntldr and ntdetect.com then i replaced the boot.ini

and now i'm here stuck in welcome screen

and safemode doesn't work it's stuck there too

any other suggestions? what about that nlite?

its worth a shot at that.

The fixboot / fixmbr commands spring to mind :)

use with caution though - for all we know, you might have a multi-OS setup lol if so, post that before trying stuff as you don't wanna render the lot useless ;)
