should codecs be installed BEFORE or AFTER all programs? (ie, firefox, etc.)

i think it does in terms of firefox getting codecs - do they need to be installed before or after firefox to be associated automatically?

I myself prefer to keep it afterwards since programs that like to install FireFox plugins copy files to %ProgramFiles%\Mozilla FireFox\plugins which of course doesn't exist before installing FireFox...

--> So JRE first, FireFox second, Codecs and others third...

--> That's my setup and works flawlessly...

Codecs and browser plugins are two very different things...

But, don't codecs install themselves in FireFox via browser plugins ?
