Winnt.sif Not Working On Full Unattended Install

Featured Replies

Hi, i was wondering if anyone can help me. I have made the Beginners setup and the Intermediate setup of my Unattended Setup. I have used the setupmgr.exe in the deploy tools to make the winnt.sif file so it is unaatended except for choosing the partion. My problem is that when i run the setup through M$ Virtual PC i get so far and it starts asking me for the product code, username, etc. I also have to press the F8 button before hand to agrre to the terms and conditions which everything is in my winnt.sif file saying all this data. Here is a copy of my winnt.sif.

Hi, welcome to MSFN :hello:

First things first: Please remove your Product-key

Now about your question: The winnt.sif looks allright.

Are you sure winnt.sif is inside the i386 folder?

Also check the filename, sometimes it is saved as winnt.sif.txt

Thanks i forgot to take the product key out and it was called WINNT.SIF.TXT. I didn't think of that thanks. I thought i had chnaged it so it didn't have the .txt. Another question. When i make the .ISO image through CDIMAGE it comes up with a error saying such a program setup.exe and any other are the safe for so many bytes and differ after this, this might be attended or the setup might be corrupt. The setup's are fine if run them normally and they seem to be InstallShield setups. I have done what it says to install them and get the setup.iss file but there's no such file when i do this. Whats wrong here.
