trixer
I downloaded and installed Service Pack 1.6.2 on Win 98SE notebook. One out of ten times doing a cold boot I receive a "Windows Protection Error - You need to restart your computer". After a reset everything works fine.Booting in safe mode doesn't give any hint.Any ideas? Thanx in advance.

I recommend SP 2.0.On the other hand, if you get this message again, please write the full error message with your detailed hardware list on this topic.
