Providence Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 @Windows XP SP2,M$ set a TCP/IP Limit, what does it stand for?x connections increased per second or total connection in one second, which one is right?i am confused, can anybody help me?thx
tguy Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I believe it is the number of connections attempted to any XP SP2 workstation at a given time. This is not really new, I believe Win2K Pro had the same limitation.Hope this helps.
Martin Zugec Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Nope, it is limit to 10 UNCOMPLETED (not finished TCP handshake) connections... It will allow to reduce the attack speed of viruses etc.
ODC Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Why would one want to increase this connection limit, as evident with the patchers/hacked installation files available?
Martin Zugec Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 1.) P2P not compatible with MS standart (e.g. every P2P )2.) network scanning tools3.) virusesThats all...
