uqdblack Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 Is anyone able to help? What do other people do:- Disable Windows XP SP2 popup blocker?- Manually disable the Google popup blocker?- Leave both popup blockers running?Dan
rendrag Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 if i do have to use ie, i just leave the google one on
Technoguy Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 well there mite be a a thing named web features in options menu like there's one for Firefox just uncheck block popups icon.
uqdblack Posted April 16, 2005 Author Posted April 16, 2005 Thanks for your responses,I am trying to rollout the Google toolbar via SMS to 1000+ PCs. I would prefer not have to disable the IE popup blocker as my clients are used to the way it works.RegardsDaniel
oioldman Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 One way would be toinsall regsho, run the before scan, make changes to googletoolbar, run after scan. it will show regkey that it uses to enable|disableAs for IE toolbar, do the same
uqdblack Posted April 17, 2005 Author Posted April 17, 2005 Thanks oioldmanI normally use RegMon but it didn't show me any registry changes that were obvious. What the Google Toolbar seems to do is remove the popup blocker buttons on the toolbar which then turns off the popup blocker:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\NavClient\1.1\Options\ButtonIdsGoogleMenu\=0&Edit=1&23=2&FancySearch=3&23=4&PageRank=5&AutoFill=6&23=7&Options=8&Highlight=9That should turn it off.
