Everyone have a NIC that is WOL compilant, but how do we really wake a pc from the network ? Is there a global software that can wake most of the NIC or do we have to use manufacturer program ?

Any on have any info on that ?

Check List:

WOL PCI NIC

WOL cable

WOL cable connected to the motherboard and card

WOL enabled in the BIOS

WO pci device, sleep modes s1&s3, or s3, ACPI, power on after power off

For on board NIC's, WOL enabled firmware

WOL enabled for the card; between the BIOS POST and Windows Screen; on Intel Products, press CTRL+S

Enable WOL for the adapter on the Win Device Manager

Disable 'Allow device to be turned off'
