Revpolar Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 So It looks simple enough. I edited it then saved it as unattend.xml and tried sticking it to several places within the image but nothing helps it to boot unattended. So anyone know where to put this file to make it boot unattended? While Im asking is there any way to get into install.wim edit and repack it?
getwired Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 you have to feed it to setup via the command line. No, there are no tools released today for editing a Longhorn WIM file.
prathapml Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 longhorn still accepts even a plain winnt.sifAnd WIM images do have editors, like ISOs - but its not allowed to edit it actually.... so mentioning it is warez - but you can still google!
getwired Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Longhorn's normal setup won't accept a traditional unattend file.Let me rephrase - There are no WIM dumpers or editors currently available that are reliable, or that work with the most recent builds of Longhorn.
