cleary71 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I just tried to reformat my computer with Microsoft XP and after I put in the System Recovery CD #1 I received the following error "Cannot Recover Hard Drive Size Is Too Small". I have reformatted in the past with absolutely no problems what so ever. My hard drive is currently partioned the following way - C: 16 GB total - 7.92 GB free D: 58.5 GB total - 17.4 GB free. I don't have a clue as to what this error means and if any could help out it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
war59312 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Um sounds like your recovery cds installs more than 7.92gb of crap. lolI would not use that pos.Instead just download winme boot disk:www.bootdisk.comThen just run fdisk and create paritions you want. Then enter winxp cd and run setup and it will see your empty partitons. Pick the one you want to install windows on to and it will then format it and make sure you pick ntfs of course.
