Digital Media Host Service Preventing Standby...

Featured Replies

I want to put a computer into standby mode but I am unable to because there is a digital media host service running. The computer is a host for streaming music to a media adapter so the service IS needed. The only way I can put the computer into standby is to manually stop the service, but then when I resume I have to restart the service.

I am trying to figure out if there is a way that I can put the computer into standby without having to manually stop/start the service everytime. The computer is running XP Home.

Any suggestions?
