wassthestory Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 I have been having problems with adware/spyware lately and not able to get rid of some stuff. Using all of Symantec methods for the spywares have still not gotten rid of them. I have recently tried re-loading in my Norton SystemWorks 2004 but as it loads in Anti-Virus, its say "cannot be installed without "symsetup".ALSO:When I launch windoctor from the CD I get the following two problems:"Key Software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run refers to registry value "desktop search" that points to C:/windows/isrvs/desktop.exe, an invalid startup command"AND"Key Software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/run refers to registry value "ffis" that points to C:/windows/isrvs/ffisearch.exe and invalid startup command".How do I get my symsetup back and how do I fix these keys. Obviously I'm a novice, any help is greatly appreciated or even direct me to a another board/forum. Thanks!!
