Service Pack Question

sorry if this question has been asked before.. I have searched and dont seem to be able to find the answer.

I have attempted to slipstream SP1 into my project as well as 33 hotfixes.

My winnt.sif file seems to work ok, I am getting no prompts during the installation. however, when I do a properties on " My Computer" i'm not seeing where it says SP1 is installed.

Also, i am only getting 21 of my hotfixes installed. RELATED ??

Could be a /switch problem for the patches, but why no indication that SP1 is installed.

Thanks for your time.

Vice.

well it is my understanding that SP2 breaks more than it fixes... I have been using SP1 with no problems. I dont get virus`s, no need in adding all the security related stuff.

BTW I am using nLite to integrate the service pack

Thanks

sp2 brakes things when is installed over a previous instalationof winxp. if u slipstream it also with the last updates (i recommand ryanvm packs) it works great. don't listen to any rumors......

If SP2 breaks anyhting it is because your machine is toast before you started the SP2 upgrade.

If SP2 were breaking every machine it would be on the evening news. Not the case. You are not secure without it.

OK then.. lets suppose I slipstream SP2 into my project. If I right click " My Computer" is it going to show SP2 as installed or is it hidden from this properties window?

Pretty much the same question I was asking earlier.

Thanks for the quick replies though.. much appreciated.
