Unattended Install With Different Hardware?

I set up an unattended install and when I put the CD in, it starts the formatting process, and then freezes at different percentages (I got as far 84%) I'm thinking this is the problem-I created the unattended install, and then I put in a SATA drive and tried running the unattended disk to install Windows on the SATA drive-would this be the problem? Can u create the unattend disk and then install it on different hardware?

Maybe your Harddrive is broken or the line is broken.

When do you buy the computer?

I built the computer-the drive works fine if I do a fresh install of XP using the disk- so I know its not the drive
