Since I've found this forum to be a weatlth of information, I thought I might ask around about something that has bothered me for a few years.

I have an ATI AIW 9600xt, Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Zs Platinum, and analog 7.1 speakers. My internal DVD is connected only via an ATA/133 Cable (no other connections to the motherboard or sound card).

As I'm sure owners of ATI's MultiMedia Center (MMC) know, you need to set the Audio Tab to Pass through to audio device and select either

ATI Rage Theater Audio

or

CyberLink Audio Renderer (ATI)

I've noticed when I select ATI Rage Theater Audio, the sound works fine and the DVD plays well.

When I select CyberLink Audio Renderer (ATI) the soundblaster card displays a Dolby Digital On Screen Display (OSD) water mark, but then the DVD play is extremely choppy and sometimes there is no sound.

So I'm wondering, has anyone else experienced this problem?

thank you

My ATI stuff needs a reinstall anyhow ;) ;)
