akuma6099 Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 ok, I had a beatiful working multiboot dvd. What do ya know, I broke it. The problem arrises on any XP installation. you get your first blue screen (F2 ASR) Loading kernel... and others followed by a Starting windows. Right when it should say Detecting Previous Versions, I get the Stop c0000221 blue screen stating systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll Unkown Hard Error. Don't really understand whats going wrong. I had XP Pro and a custom unattended XP Pro, along with 2000 advanced, pro and Ultimate boot Cd. The only thing I did was add Media Center and tablet. using new boot loaders (.DAT's) and creating the Folders for the .DAT'sdid not modify my original ones that used to work. All of them get the c0000221 error. I used CDImage with the correct command line switches. Folder size of DVD before Optimization is 2.89 Gigs. I have also tried using UltraISO and Nero to make the bootable ISO and they don't work either.Has anyone else ran into this problem?? Have already searched the forum and this topic is scarce. Have also tried replacing the ntdll.dll files in the 4 letter\system32 folder with no luck.
LiquidSage Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 this error is caused either by corrupt files or added drivers that are incompatible.try again making sure to copy each OS you add to your project from the original working source. Also make sure that every OS you add has the correct OS version added. If you are mixing and matching XP media and tablet that were SP2, w/ the regular and custom build of XP that was SP1. You might run into your problem.
akuma6099 Posted March 6, 2005 Author Posted March 6, 2005 Right on the money!!! I scrapped the xp files and started from scratch keeping the OEM SP2and CORP SP2 editions appart. Didn't mix the .DAT's and stuff. It now finishes its job correctly. Thanks for the reply.
