  1. Right on the money!!! I scrapped the xp files and started from scratch keeping the OEM SP2and CORP SP2 editions appart. Didn't mix the .DAT's and stuff. It now finishes its job correctly. Thanks for the reply.
  2. ok, I had a beatiful working multiboot dvd. What do ya know, I broke it. The problem arrises on any XP installation. you get your first blue screen (F2 ASR) Loading kernel... and others followed by a Starting windows. Right when it should say Detecting Previous Versions, I get the Stop c0000221 blue screen stating systemroot\system32\ntdll.dll Unkown Hard Error. Don't really understand whats going wrong. I had XP Pro and a custom unattended XP Pro, along with 2000 advanced, pro and Ultimate boot Cd. The only thing I did was add Media Center and tablet. using new boot loaders (.DAT's) and creating the Folders for the .DAT's did not modify my original ones that used to work. All of them get the c0000221 error. I used CDImage with the correct command line switches. Folder size of DVD before Optimization is 2.89 Gigs. I have also tried using UltraISO and Nero to make the bootable ISO and they don't work either.Has anyone else ran into this problem?? Have already searched the forum and this topic is scarce. Have also tried replacing the ntdll.dll files in the 4 letter\system32 folder with no luck.
  3. Ok everyone I figured it out. this is for all those people that can't do the "x:\i386\winnt32 /noreboot" install because it says INVALID KEY no matter what you enter in the setup process in windows. what you need is a 98 or ME boot disc and a FAT32 partition hopefully not the primary one. if your first partition IS FAT32 then BACKUP your boot.ini first cause it will get replaced. if your first partition (C:\)is NTFS and your (D:\) second partition is FAT32 then you don't need to backup boot.ini. First boot with the 98 disc with CD-Rom support. Next I strongly suggest loading Smartdrv.exe which can be found on the windows 98 CD under "x:\win98". If you don't load smartdrv.exe 1)XP will yell at you saying you should of and 2)it will take about 10 Minutes longer. ok so load smartdrv.exe then put in your XP home or Pro disc in and goto "x:\i386" and launch "winnt /s x:\i386" the s switch just tells windows where the i386 folder is. now windows will start to create the $WIN NT$.~BT folder and $WIN NT$>~LT folder. It will also place $LDR$ and NTDETECT.COM and NTLDR and TXTSETUP.SIF and BOOT.INI and INF000.SWP and INF001.SWP on your FAT32 partition. When you start this process you will see the files being copied in the lower right section inside the gray bar at the bottom. when thats done it will sit for a minute with "Setup is copying files to your harddrive" in the middle of the screen. once you see the progress bar with a %'aged starting to copy more files you CAN HIT RESET. you already have your files and folders you need. this method should work for the windows 2000 version too. havn't tested it yet. Well I hope this Post has helped some people cause I seen a few post where people kept getting INVALID KEY when they try to do a New installation from windows. I really like the Idea of the Multiboot DVD and I want to thank everyone that has put time into it to figuring out the little details like hexing this copy that. Thanks EVERYONE!!!!!!
  4. I really want to try this Multiboot DVD. its been on my mind for a month or 2 and I just finally looked it up. My problem is I can't get through the install method to create the $WIN_NT$.~BT folder. I was wondering if I copy the contents of the 6 boot disk images for xp pro sp1 and add the uncompressed txtsetup.sif (remove the txtsetup.si_) and edit those files, will it be the same as having windows create that boot folder. If not, what does the folder contain so I can do this manually? I want to put every MS os + erd + my special booter disk + maybe some Damnsmalllinux on 1 dvd. If it all fits:)
