Have tried to use the /s in my command, but it stops at the end of installation asking wich files to asociate with and so forth.. what am I doing wrong, was hoping for a completely silent install for my boot dvd

Dude, are you using the original installer? Or a repacked one? Because the original installer should work without a problem if you use /s

don't know if it is the original installer, it's a version I have got from the company I work in, for home use.. just wanted to add it to my boot dvd.. will it work if I extract the files and run them directly from a folder!?

Just an FYI.. the installer is just an SFX... go figure huh? I install it to an alternate location so I extract the contents (using what else? winrar!), and re-create the sfx using similar comments used in their original SFX, but choose Hide all dialogs and Overwrite files.. this way you dont need any parameters and you can install it anywhere you want!

@durex

That's why I asked him if he is using the original installer. Becuase if it is repacked, there is a posibility that the repacker didn't use Winrar to repack the software. :)

@taitasoft

Durex is correct. The installer is usually sfx. So if you can't install the software properly, repack it yourself using winrar! :lol:
