First off, thank you all for the assistance thus far.

Now that the correct drivers are installed, Disk Management states it "can not read

" the drive (2 40GB maxtors, mirrored)

do I now have to revert them to basic disks (previously OS dynamic/mirrored) and repartiton/reformat them?

was hoping to retain the data on them, but it is not critical.

well, as an FYI, I reset the Dynamic drive(s) to basic (which removed any previous partitions) I repartitioned, reformatted, and all is !*well*!
