indianarchie Posted February 12, 2005 Share Posted February 12, 2005 i have setup outlook express 6 to receive gmail messages. i have activated the pop setting from the gmail account, and have used the gmail automatic configuration tool to set up the accont in OE. I am able to send messages sucessfully from my gmail account, but when i try to downnload messages, i get the following error:The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'GMail', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0Ecan anyone help me here..as far as i am aware..all the setings in OE are correctly configured, and i am able to send messages from my GMail accont using OE.
