buddy i need another favor

can u tell me how to install windows xp unattended on my desired partition but without using autopartition=0 entry in winnt.sif

i want to install uxp silently on say e drive (not always in e , may be next time in f drive)

hows it possible

Hmm.. dunno what u r talking about but if I am not totaly wrong the entry Autopartition = is only for RIS installs which means that RIS will partition and format tha drive for u auto. The main downside to RIS is that u have limited or no logic to handle disk mangement (partitions and drives) in its native format. If u choose not to use autopartition entry, then RIS will halt and prompt u for the correct partition / drive to install to...

If u have access to WinPE u can boot of the RIS into WinPE, fix the drive(s)/partition(s) from within WinPE---> copy XP i386 files to drive and the launch tha winnt32.exe from within WinPE..

all this is already up in tha forum.. google/search tha forum for it!!

this entry is available in winnt.sif

which allows you to automatically partition the drive (whether it is c drive or other drives )where its find space for the installation and no other windows is installed

check out ref.chm in deploy tools

u will get all the details regarding the same
