alexus Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 I understand this is might not be a standard question, but how would I create unattended USB device (drive, stick or whatever you call it) that will allow me to do same thing as CD/DVD but i'll boot from USB instead of CD/DVD.. I unfortinatly dont have CD/DVD in my computer but I have ability to boot from USB and I have USB memory stick and no I dont have USB CD/DVD drive..

Plus DVD's are nowhere near as universal as USB currently is, so I can definetly see how this would be an advantage. If anyone else knows how I would be pleased to know myself.
rendrag Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 it's been discussed before... basically USB uses the FAT partition, and CD uses CDFS... hard drives, usb or other, do not have the ability to utilize a boot image to force a boot off of it, like a CD does (afaik).
